COMMUNAL READING WITH THE PLYMOUTH BOOK CO-OP

Join the Plymouth Book Co-op and their collection of books at GROW at their residency in July for reading, bookbinding and meeting some of the book-loving folk of Plymouth.

Come say hello and read with us. Bring your own book or browse our shelves.

OTHER EVENTS

Friday Evening 21 July (7-10pm)
Book Co-op social. A chance to connect with fellow book lovers. The evening will include an ice-breaker of ‘If You Only Read One Book, Book Club’. No need to prepare, just bring along the book to show others & let others know why you're passionate about this book & why it's the one for you!

Sunday 23 July (11am-2pm)
Open bookbinding workshop (basic materials and guidance provided). Don’t fancy binding? Feel free to come along and read instead.

Free entry. Donations towards books and materials welcomed.

ABOUT THE PLYMOUTH BOOK C0-OP

Plymouth Book Co-op is a community book co-operative for anyone with an interest in books - whether that’s reading, writing, listening, illustrating, or making. The co-op run pop-up events around Plymouth to enjoy books in company as they work on opening a bricks and mortar co-operative bookshop. 

PART OF A YEAR-LONG SERIES OF RESIDENCIES AND CULTURAL EVENTS
This event is part of a year-long series of pop-up residencies and cultural events working with partners to experiment and explore the building, its surroundings, heritage and looks to the future in terms of sustainability, inclusion, food and drink, grassroots arts, music and culture.  The top floors have recently been converted into studios, which are now creative home to painters, audio artists, printmakers, installation and socially engaged artists.
